Travel by train

London is served by a number of train stations, with the easiest way to connect from Canada Square being to use the Jubilee tube line to access London Bridge. From here you can access a wide range of local, regional, national and international locations.

  There are numerous online information websites for train travel – many offer discounted ticket sales too. The two most popular journey planning tools for train travel are The TrainLine or National Rail Enquiries
  
  On the latter you can find out more on station facilities, operators and even download your own personalised timetable.

• Paying for a journey by train

  Whilst you can simply turn up at the train station and purchase a ticket for a single journey, if your trip is a regular commute a period ticket will be much better value. National Rail offer a season ticket calculator so you can work out how much your regular commute will be – and more importantly how much you’ll save compared to buying a ticket each day!   If you are making a one off journey to London by train you can make savings by booking in advance - either by calling into any train station, via The TrainLine.
  
  You can now also pay for journeys on suburban train services which both start and finish within zones 1- 9 using your Oyster.
