Travel by bike

Cycling to work can dramatically improve your general fitness and is proven to help reduce stress and anxiety. With on site secure cycle storage, showers and changing facilities some of the normal barriers to commuting by bike have been removed (for those living close enough!) and you can even get a new bike at significantly reduced prices through the Cycle to Work Scheme.

• Cycle storage, showers & changing rooms

  Sheltered cycle storage is conveniently located within the secure car park. We also provide shower and changing facilities on site.
  
  If you want to pop out on your bike at lunch, Surrey County Council provides plenty of cycle storage in Camberley that is free and convenient to use.

• Plan a journey by bike

  If you are new to cycling in the area, or haven’t been out on your bike for a while, it’s worth checking out the best route to work – with lots of off street routes and designated cycle lanes you may just find it’s a lot simpler than you thought!

• Cycle to Work scheme: save up to 42% on the cost of a new bike

  Employees have the opportunity to purchase a bike (and associated safety equipment) as part of the ‘Cycle to Work’ scheme, these type of arrangements allow you to pay for your new bike through a salary sacrifice arrangement, enabling you to save up to 42% compared to buying a bike on your own.

• Cycle maps

  Surrey CC do not have an online cycle map available, however we do currently hold a number of hard copies which you can either pick up from the onsite Travel Information Point or by contacting us.
